Congratulations
Hilary !
We have chosen to speak about Hilary because she ran a
marathon in April 2016. It took place in Nantes and it was her first marathon.
She ran forty-two kilometres. It took her three hours
and forty-one minutes.
There were approximately 4,000 (four thousand) people
who took part. Hilary finished one-thousandth
and she was the 50th (fiftieth) woman.
She trained for four months. She started training in
December 2015 and she ran on average five times a week.
During the race, she drank a mouthful of water every
five kilometre. She ate some dried fruit such as apricots.
At the end, she was very tired but she was happy and
she was given a medal !
Congratulations and many thanks Hilary for helping us
with our English ! Thanks to your marathon, we have practised the
numbers !
We would like to visit Scotland one day. !
